Saro Elayappam, a light snack from Kerala, a fine delicacy
providing a pleasingly light suggestion of sweet to the consumer.
The core of this snack is prepared by combining coconut with
jaggery and other aromatic spices. This mixture is then filled
into flour breads and steamed. A much adored food item of
the region, Elayappam is best when taken along with the evening
tea or coffee.
HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
For Conventional Cooking
Remove the contents from the pack, defrost for
a few minutes and place over a hot frying pan for 2 minutes.
Serve hot or cold with tea, coffee or any beverage.
For Microwave or Conventional Oven
Thaw the product to room temperature, remove
the contents from the pack, microwave the product for 20-30
seconds or heat the product in a pan for one minute. Serve
hot, do not refreeze once thawed product. Keep the frozen
product refrigerated.
